“I've always worked very, very hard, and the harder I worked, the luckier I got.” (Alan Bond)
This quote seems appropriate to explain a little about me. I was born and raised in India. I graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. After completion of a one year internship at Manipal University, I worked as a resident doctor in Internal Medicine/ Intensive care at Mediciti hospitals, Hyderabad, India. Due to my interest in the aging process, I pursued a Masters’ degree in Applied Gerontology at Ball State University, Muncie.
There were many reasons that I chose the Internal Medicine Residency at Ball Memorial. While I was pursuing my Master's degree at Ball State University, I did a number of rotations with physicians in the community. I was impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were. The attendings were very approachable, easy to get along with, and patient. In addition, Muncie is a small, friendly community. The advantage of living here is that there are not many distractions and it is an ideal environment for students. Ball Hospital’s IM residency program has proven to be a great fit for me given the diversity of the program, supportive faculty, and the camaraderie of the residents. I would highly recommend this program.
I enjoy running, playing basketball, travelling, exploring a variety of exotic cuisines and spending time with my family and friends. I was an athlete (sprinter) at college level and am a brown belt in Karate. I also enjoy watching soccer and Formula One racing on TV.

I was born and raised in Muncie and did my undergraduate training at Ball State University. I went on to complete medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. I have been married just over 6 years to an amazing woman who works as a dental hygienist, and we are expecting our second child later this year.
I chose Ball Hospital for my residency due not only to the program size and friendly environment, but also because of the great teachers that are involved with the program. I had completed several rotations at Ball as a student and enjoyed the approach to learning and the level of resident autonomy the program offered. I plan to go into hospital medicine once my residency is completed.
